DAVISON. Norena Janette Age 93, of Bramber, Hants Co., formerly of Montreal, Que., passed away peacefully on Tuesday, January 24, 2017 in the R.E.A.L. Residence Care Home, Windsor. Born in Sydney, she was a daughter of the late Norman and Margaret (MacDonald) Morrison. Norena is survived by son, Paul, London, Ont.; daughter, Donna, Bramber; grandchildren, Brooklyn and Kaylin. She was predeceased by her husband, Sydney Vernon Davison; brothers, Donald and Gus; sister, Ella Matheson; niece, Kathy Morrison. Norena was an independent spirit with a love of nature. She had a lifelong passion for learning and encouraged it in others. She was an avid reader and could be counted on for lively discussions about anything from petunias to politics, flavored with her great wit. Norena was generous and devoted to her friends who will always cherish her beautiful handwritten letters. Arrangements have been entrusted to DeMont Family Funeral Home & Cremation Service, 419 Albert St., PO Box 981, Windsor, NS BON 2TO (902-798-8317). At Norena's request, cremation has taken place and there will be no visitation. A celebration of life will be held at a later date. A private family graveside will follow in Maplewood Cemetery. Norena had a soft spot in her heart for Cheverie United Church, if anyone would like to make a memorial donation in her memory it may be sent to them, C/O Mickey Crossley, Cheverie, NS B0N 1G0.
