Better known as Bill, passed away peacefully at home on Thursday, September 28, 2017. Bill was a quiet and extremely smart man. He lived a life of integrity and truth. He was kind and patient and he had a wonderful sense of humour. It always gave him great pleasure to help family, friends and neighbours. Bill was a true gentleman.

Born on November 8, 1934, Bill lived life to the fullest. He trained oxen in his youth and went on to graduate from the Nova Scotia Agricultural College in Truro, Class of 1954. He worked many different jobs over the years, but primarily as a welder for the Falmouth Machine Shop for eight years and as a hydraulic mechanic for the Nova Scotia Light and Power Company for 22 years. Bill embraced many opportunities to travel and especially loved his trips to Alaska and Iceland. Most of all, he loved his family, his community and his antique Farmall tractors.

He will be dearly missed by his wife of 51 years, Millicent; son, Craig (Joy); daughter,Melodie; grandchildren, Charlotte and Thomas; nephew, Brian (Shelly) Hebb. He will also be fondly remembered in the hearts of many other family members and friends, especially his in-laws, Lorna, Lawrence, Sydney, Clara, George, Joan and Mabel and their families.

Bill was predeceased by his parents, David Murray and Annie Whilimena (Knowles) Daniels; sister, Nancy Hebb and brother-in-law, Vernon Hebb.

Bill's wish was to remain at home in the house where he was born and had lived most of his life. During this time, the family would like to express a special thank you to those who helped make that happen, including the Hants County VON, Hants Community Hospital - Palliative Care Team, Dr. Bob, Annapolis Valley Homecare, Northwood Homecare, extended family members and our wonderful neighbours, Linda and Robert Chambers.
