So sorry to hear of Bob's passing Terry. I really liked your Dad.I enjoyed chatting with him when we'd visit Wheet and your Mom and Dad would also be there.
I remember talking to him about the great house parties our parents would have back in the day. Susan and I would often go up to Hansport on the weekends and if there was a party going on sometimes we'd be invited in for drink or two. Sometimes I'd even have three! They were all nice people . They enjoyed each other's company and were very welcoming to us youngsters. They really did know how to have a good time. I've tried my very best to follow in their footsteps!!
I remember one particular party up on Maple Avenue. Bob and I were talking about music and guitars and having a few laughs. He had a great sense of humor.I was playing an old upright piano . Bob was singing a Hank Williams tune and I added some harmony. So much fun!
As I said Terry I was very fond of your Dad . I know he'll be missed by family and friends. He lived a full life and you were very lucky to have him with you as long as you did.
Please say hello to Brian for me and I hope you and the girls are doing well.
Sincerely, Peter

To my family when I received the news of uncle Bob passing I was flooded with memories. As a young boy I remember always a warm and inviting smile, and always a pat on.the shoulders. He taught me how to play snooker and I always thought it was cool that he smoked cigars. As an adult the same warm and careing smile greeted me on my last visit . Bob and aunt Doris were always the first to ask " how are you ", and the first to say I love you too. And of course warm and sincere hugs..much love to aunt Doris and the family.

Several years ago myself and a past CO of the West Nova Scotia Regiment were welcomed at the home of Robert and Doris. Robert shared a bit of his adventures during WW2 with us. A soft spoken, very modest, gentleman I feel privleged to have met.
I send my heartfelt condolences to Doris and family. Semper Fidelis.

Doris and Family: Condolences on the loss of a wonderful husband, father and all round good man. As a neighbour at the Bedford condo I enjoyed meeting and chatting with Bob. He was always ready with a helping hand when needed. Doris, I remember all the trips as couples we made to the planked salmon suppers and the plays at the Anglican Church. Bob always offered to drive in his sparkling clean big car. Great memories of a long life well lived.

So very sorry to hear about Bob's passing. My deepest condolences to the family. I was a neighbour at the Bedford condo and maintained a garden on the side of the building. When I was away in the summer, Bob, already in his nineties, would water the garden for me. This involved dragging the hose a considerable distance! One year when I was home all summer and didn't require his help, he asked me why. I true officer and a gentleman in every way!! Always a smile and a twinkle in his eye...he will be dearly missed.

Doris, sending heartfelt condolences. Robert and I fondly remember dropping in to your Florida home and we ended up staying two nights with you. It was a fun couple of days. You were so generous to invite us to house-sit your beautiful home on the lake while we were in between homes.
