To Carl's Family-
Dear Friends-
So sorry to learn that Carl has passed away. We knew Carl "a bit" but got to know him much better after Peter moved into the Elms on February 28th. Carl was a very interesting man, a true gentleman. We so enjoyed our visits with him. He will be missed but we know that you will cherish many wonderful memories of him.
Thinking of you with loving thoughts and sincere sympathy. Hugs,
Peter & Karen (Rowlands)

We always enjoyed our visits with my cousin, Maureen, and Carl. Enjoyed meeting at Fry Daddy's for lunch where Carl and Tom would enjoy the liver. Our last visit with Carl was in the ELMS and we were so glad to see him happy there. He looked great and in good spirits. Rest in peace, Carl, our condolences to your family.

To write all my fond memories of Carl would be a book. From sharing the trustee roll at the Lockhartville Church, to putting on plays, and always going for lunch after service on Sundays. No matter where we went he ordered the same thing, a hamburger and pie. Christmas in the future will always be reminisced of Carl bring his treasured horse bells and proudly telling every year the history behind them. We also shared our love for horses and he loved coming to the barn, and if a local show, was ever present to cheer me on. No one in Hantsport knew more historically about the families and geography than Carl, I could listen to his stories forever. First and foremost I will miss our quiet times when I went to him for support, advise, to vent, or that loving hug. One thing I could depend on were his honest answers, sometimes with humor, but always with my best interest at heart. Unfortunately, above all else we shared the bond of both of us losing a child and talked of it often. Carl knew and understood how it has affected me as few do. To Jim and Fred, thank you for sharing your Dad, you had a good one that was so proud of you. Take comfort that he is now with David and your Mom. So Carl as we always said when parting, "Love you".

One of our best decisions was moving to our home on Pleasant Street. We became much more than neighbours. We became really good friends. So many visits over the years and one or two just may have involved a drink of rum!
Most of those visits included interesting conversations and funny stories reminiscing about the past. Carl didn’t forget anything!
Some of them involved sadness and heartache and we were always there for each other.
We love and miss you, Carl. You will always be in our hearts. RIP dear friend.
Deepest sympathy to the family and all those who love you.

Jim, Fred and your families.
I truly don't remember anything in our little Hantsport that Carl wasn't a part of.
From sports to Canada Day he was always around having a talk, a joke or just being there.
I loved having a little talk when I'd see him.
He will be missed by all us Hantsport boys.
RIP Sir and Condolences from my family to yours.

It was a great pleasure to have been able to be considered a friend of Carls at the Ivy Meadows. He shared lots of neat stories and always reminded me to photo copy the lexicon from Fridays paper ( we asked for answers when we were stuck) and helped him find good shows on Disney plus! He will be missed!

It was a pleasure to be able to care for Carl during his stay at Ivy Meadows. From the minute he walked through the door I was the nurse on to get him settled into his new home and we immediately clicked. Carl had the kindest soul and I always loved having chats with him. Carl was the king of lexicons and some of the staff always got together on Friday’s to do them, and we always had Carl to turn to when we were stuck on an answer. Carl will always be remembered by the staff and residents of Ivy Meadows. Condolences to the family❤️

I am so sorry for your loss, but also happy I was able to visit with Carl and see you all in October 2022. My fondest memories were being at the house when you “boys” would come home with your brush cuts, having baked beans and brown bread on Saturday nights and just visiting with Carl in his easy chair watching everyone come up the hill. As a teenager, Carl would show up at our house early on Saturday mornings to have coffee with Mum and make sure he used the loudest voice possible to get me out of bed. He will be missed. Love Nat
