Obituary of Harry Merton Burrell

Age 74, of Middleton, formerly of Windsor, passed away Wednesday, August 23, 2023 in Heart of the Valley Long Term Care Centre, Middleton. Born November 27, 1948, in Windsor, Harry was a son of the late Henry Reginald “Lindy” and Josephine Harriet “Kay” (McLellan) Burrell.

Harry worked 40 years as a miner in Lynn Lake, Manitoba. He enjoyed bingo, board games and spending time with family.

Harry is survived by his brothers, Gary and Brian; children, Dawn Preston, Jennifer Olsen and Jody Burrell; and his loving grandchildren; and sister, Bernice Levy..

Besides his parents, he was predeceased by sister, Shirley Murphy; and many uncles and aunts.

Arrangements have been entrusted to DeMont Family Funeral Home, 419 Albert St. Windsor (902-798-8317). A service will take place 11:00 a.m. Wednesday, August 30 in DeMont Family Funeral Home Chapel, Celebrant Bob DeMont officiating. Interment will follow in Maplewood Cemetery, 1186 King St., Windsor. Donations in memory of Harry may be made to the Heart and Stroke Foundation of Nova Scotia, Park Lane Mall, Level 3, 5657 Spring Garden Rd., Box 245, Halifax, NS B3J 3R4.
