Obituary of Jane Anne Rafuse

Age 73, of Falmouth, died Monday, August 28, 2023 in Windsor Elms Village, Falmouth. Born in Halifax, she was a daughter of the late Raymond and Teresa (Brown) Peverill.

She was a kind and humourous soul who loved being a Registered Nurse, adored horses, and a good game of cribbage. Jane was loved and supported by her family, the people she worked with in the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit at the Grace Maternity Hospital, later the IWK Health Centre and the staff of the Windsor Elms, who made her later years comfortable and happy.

Surviving and missing Jane, are her brother, Brian (Charlene) Peverill; sister, Laura (Darrell) Syms; sister-in-law, Barbara Peverill; three wonderful nieces, Shelagh, Wendy and Emily; also, the man to whom she was married, Henry Rafuse.

Besides her parents, Jane was predeceased by her brother, Donald Peverill and her youngest sister, Paula Peverill. 

Arrangements for cremation have been entrusted to DeMont Family Funeral Home & Cremation Service, 419 Albert St., Windsor (902-798-8317). There will be no memorial service. A burial will take place at a later date in Cape Breton.
