Thinking of you at this difficult time. You are in our thoughts and prayers.
Quite a lot of mischief was had at the garage in Prime Brook with Glayne, Eddie, and Papa. A lot of fond memories!
We didn't realize you relocated, and miss running into you at the suppers.
God bless you all.

Let me commence by offering my Deepest Sympathies to Carol and Jennifer on the passing of their loved husband and Dad, Edward Penney.
My friendship with the Penney family dates back to the summer of 1990 when my daughter Anisha and l met the Penneys on a European overland trip. Jennifer and Anisha teamed up first, the adults followed. 18 days of exploring Europe by day and sipping on Rum n Coke in the Penney's guest room after dinner became our ritual.
Laughs, escapades and chats led to the two families, us in Toronto, Ontario and the Pennys in Sydney, NS exchanging greetings at Christmas and visits back and forth between Ontario and Nova Scotia. Their first visit was to see my ailing Mom in 1991 and on numerous occasions thereafter, often in their hifi home on wheels. When Anisha married in 2005 the Pennys came! In 2007 l stayed with the Pennys in NS and Ed drove us thro out the province. Ed also took me to his place of work. What beautiful episodes of friendship!
Later, when Filippo and l were on a Maritimes Cruise, the Penneys met us on the pier, took us to Peggy's Cove and treated us to a Thanksgiving dinner at a beautiful restaurant in Halifax.
As before, apart from the sightseeing, the jokes and togetherness was integral to this loving friendship between our two families...
In recent days, l have been overwhelmed by Jennifer's unceasing care of her loved parents.
Carol and Jennifer's loss is heaven's gain as the gentle giant of Ed Penney is now in the loving care of the Lord. Rest peacefully Ed, may the winds blow softly over you. I will always remember you fondly.
Respectfully submitted by

So terribly sorry Jennifer. I have many memories of your Dad and Owen enjoying fishing and hunting adventures and loving every second of them. Many of those adventures were re-lived at our kitchen table over a cup of tea. I loved seeing the two old friends together and enjoyed hearing their tales. They are both at peace now.

Dear Carol and Jennifer, so sorry for your loss. I had the pleasure of working with Ed for many years at the Steel Plant. We travelled together in Europe (Germany and France) visiting their rail mills. He was great to work with and great to travel with. I have many fond memories of Ed. I remember his retirement. Again, my deepest condolences.
