Obituary of Albert Arthur Pick
Passed away Friday, June 7, 2024 in the Halifax Infirmary, QEII, at the age of 86. Born October 17, 1937 in Round Hill, Annapolis County, he was the son of the late Arthur and Jennie (Smith) Pick. Albert was a farmer in his younger years and later worked for Tidewater Construction until retirement. Whenever possible, he loved working in his sawmill and woods. He also loved his Honda Goldwing; you could always hear the tunes well before the bike!
Surviving is his partner of 33 years, Olive “Ollie” Skipper; daughter, Deborah (Scott Prudence) and son, Paul (Tanya Butler); three step-daughters, Twila (Wayne) MacDonald and their sons, Justin and Zachary; Nicole (Greg) Pemberton and their children, Alex (Gavin and Becca) and Brandon (Emily); and Billie-Jo (Crystal); brother, Wayne (Avis) Pick; and sister-in-law, Donna Pick.
He was predeceased by his wife, Elizabeth "Bette" and brothers, Brian, Lloyd, and Harland.
Albert will be especially missed by his fur babies Benji and Sadie.
Arrangements for cremation have been entrusted to DeMont Family Funeral Home & Cremation Service, 419 Albert St., Windsor (902-798-8317). A private family service will be held at a later date in the Centre Rawdon Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Heart and Stroke Foundation.
