My sincere sympathy to all at this time. I was a student nurse at the old P.M.H.and so Iwatched most of you growing up in the mid to late 50's I worked many enjoyable mid night shifts with Doris and Ialso recall helping to bring some of you into the world. Your parents were such wonderful caring people, always willing to help out. My husband and I got re-acquainted with your father at the Legion, and I visited with Doris at ''The Manning'' since we have been living here .Your Father fought a good fight to keep his health, but lost in the end. It is never easy to part with a parent no matter how old they were or we are. Again sincere sympathy and kind thoughts to all and special hugs to Doris. Frank and Dolores Porter.

My mother - Reta Jane (Bacon) Bird was a first cousin of Robert Bacon, being the daughter of William and Laura Bacon. She lived just across the road from the Walton Bacon house. Kennie and Bernice Bacon were good friends of our family as we, too, lived in Nappan. Winston and Royce spent a lot of time with my younger brother, Murray. Very sorry to hear about your loss. Will let my three living brothers know. I am 76. I know they would want me to express their condolences to you, too. Sincerely, Gwyneth (Bird) Barrie
