Dear Joan: On one hand I'm sorry to hear of Donnie's departure but on the other hand, quite excited and happy for him...he is home at last! No worries there, and therefore, like the Apostle Paul says in I Thess. 4: 13: "...we don't sorrow as those who have no hope"! Oh yes, we will shed some tears but they will be bittersweet...knowing that he is not with us for a little while and at the same time, knowing we will be with him again in a little while! We will be seeing Donnie in the very near future and what a glad reunion that's going to be! It is at times like this, we can draw strength from our faith in God and His many wonderful promises! Knowing Donnie, I'm sure he has left you with many fond memories that you will be able to draw strength, courage and laughter from during the dark moments of loneliness, grief, and anxiety! Dear Joan Rand and I are so sad to hear about Donnie. I saw him when I was home in Feb. I was so pleased to have had a nice talk with him.
