I recall vividly the day I came in to work and got Mona up for the afternoon. And took her outside to show her my motorcycle. She loved the bike and broke out into giggles after reading the sticker on the windshield, which read, "Ride nakedness. It adds colour's to your cheeks." She laughed about that for weeks following. Mona will be missed by anyone who had the pleasure of meeting her

Seeing this news breaks my heart. Mona was very special to me , she was my moms roommate in the hospital and they became good friends.When I came to work at Dykeland Lodge , I got to know Mona and am so blessed to having done so. Mona was a firecracker! She was funny and kind. One night I had to bring my dog for a overnight night shift, I couldn’t find her and she was curled up next to Mona perfectly content. I will miss her greatly. My condolences to her family she was so lucky to have you.

We had the priviledge of getting to know Mona quite well, while we were working at Dykeland Lodge.
We admired her strength and courage through her toughest days and loved laughing and carrying on with her on her good days.
Her presence was felt throughout the building and she was loved by so many of the staff.
She will be missed.
"Rest easy, sweet Mona. You are now at peace and no more pain.
We pray that you are sitting in the sun, admiring all the beautiful scenery around you. God Bless".

So sorry to hear that Mona has gained her wings. She was such a sweetie. She kept me company on my night shifts. We enjoyed singing together "Mona Mona Mona do you love me, Mona Mona Mona do you care" and she would sing along and laugh.. I always spoke to her about her brother Richard who I worked with at the Elms. She loved her snacks and the visits from her sister. Rest in peace my dear friend!
