Dear Florence and other Taylor family: I was so sorry to hear of Annabelle's passing, also of her incapacitation in recent years. We were colleagues at NRC from when I joined in 1969 until her retirement. She was so helpful in ferreting out obscure 18th century literature, like as not in Latin, to bolster the historical background of our work. I think she enjoyed the challenge! And we had lots of spontaneous lunch outings, even just to brown-bag it in the park. All good memories. She was one of a kind. My condolences to you all.

I met Annabelle when my APICS office was located in the NRC building where she was librarian. We became friends very quickly, and I convinced her to participate in the Halifax adult music program which I had been enjoying for a number of years. She was a friendly, enjoyable person to be with.

Annabelle was also friendly and gracious to everyone, and especially took an interest in the youngsters in her family. Annabel
had many interests and she inspired me to take up Tai chi. My condolences to Florence and all.

I was sorry to hear of Annabelle’s passing. My condolences to Florence and family. Her obituary is a wonderful tribute to a life well-lived - she definitely would have wanted mention of her travels to General Mao’s China (she needed special permission) and her discovery of the earliest mayflowers (our first sign of spring each year was a small bouquet). Annabelle was fun and lively and times spent with her were always interesting and memorable. To her great-nieces/nephews she was “Annabelle the Great”. And she will be greatly missed.

I have many happy memories of times at Evangeline Beach Taylor Cottage. I usually was on “cleanup committee” with Annabelle as it was Lois’ turn to slow down after preparing the big feast for all who arrived for a day of music, games and the beach. Annabelle was always interested in hearing about family and friends and was always seen at different jazz gigs, concerts, etc. She was very proud of all her nieces and nephews. I know she will be missed by all.

I was sorry to hear of Annabelle's passing. I knew her through our membership in Halifax Concert Band and Dartmouth Concert Band. After she stopped driving her own car (always a Mustang!) we drove together to band rehearsals. I didn't know her well but my impression was of a very independent, intelligent, active and feisty woman who deeply loved her family and didn't suffer fools, and I really admired her for all that. Her obituary made me realize she was an even more interesting person than I knew. My condolences to her family and friends.

So sorry to learn of Annabelle's passing. I knew that she had been declining for several years but still have happy memories of her.
I knew Annabelle mainly for her interest in instrumental music in middle life. The Halifax Music Department at one point offered evening classes for adult beginners in instrumental music. It was essentially a clarinet class and Annabelle was my classmate. I saw right away that she was mentally very bright and sightread music quickly. I knew her also because she was living in what I considered my grandmother's old home, which was (to Canadian historians) the former home of Sir Robert Borden. Annabel had an apartment that she had made into an up-and-down apartment, which I considered unique.
I have happy memories of Annabelle and the music we made together. My sympathies are with you.

It is with sadness that I learned of Annabelle's departure.
I have fond memories of our Acadia days and of later years when we shared an apartment in Halifax. I well remember the Taylor family and Annabelle's devotion to all.
My condolences to Florence and all of the family.
