I was very sad to read of Brian and Jonathon’s passing. Having worked with Brian at the City of Halifax and then HRM, there are a ton of memories of laughter shared and stories told with this kind and gentle man. Stories of crib games in the old smoke room or leaving the parkade with Mike will never be forgotten.
This is a lot of loss- my sympathies to you all.

It is a sad loss for all the families and relatives. As one of Brian’s cousins, I remember him as a young lad when I visited with my Aunt Aggie and Uncle Tom during Summers in Avondale. A particularly clear recollection is the day Valerie and I went bike riding and I wrecked Brian’s bicycle by losing control and landing in the ditch. I was somewhat injured, however, the condition of the bike was more of an issue as far as Brian was concerned. Don’t think he spoke to me for the duration of my Summer visit.
I will always remember him fondly.
