Obituary of Mildred Bernice Wile

It's with great sadness that we announce the passing of our Mom, Mildred Bernice Wile, age 88 on Saturday, September 28, 2024 in Hants Community Hospital, Windsor. Mom was born April 25, 1936 in Poplar Grove to the late Robert “Bob” and Alfreda “Freda” (Stevens) Miller.

Mom is survived by the father of her children, Orland “Bob” Wile; sons, Alan (Margie), Brian (Lynette), Bruce (Judi), Wayne (Theresa) and Mark (Avon); daughters, Darlene (Steven) Greenough and Cindy (Greg) Ross; many grandchildren, step grandchildren and great grandchildren whom she loved dearly. Bernice is also survived by her siblings, Joyce Trenaman, Betty Harnish, Joan (Gordie) Shea; who will miss her dearly along with many nieces and nephews on both sides of the Miller and Wile families.

She will be missed by her dear friends Emma Faulkner, Shirley Reynolds and Walter Smith; whom we cannot thank enough for looking out for our Mother.

Besides her parents, was predeceased by her brothers, Donald Miller and Micheal Downing; grandson, Paul Wile; sister-in-law, Marg Miller; brothers-in-laws, Bubby Harnish and Donald Trenaman.

We were blessed to have her in our lives, she will be missed but memories will be in our hearts forever. We also know if there was a phone in Heaven, she would call us at least once a day. We love you MOM!!!

Arrangements have been entrusted to DeMont Family Funeral Home & Cremation Service, 419 Albert St., Windsor (902-798-8317). A funeral service for Mildred will be held 1 pm Thursday, October 10 in DeMont Family Funeral Home Chapel, Rev. Garnet Parker officiating. A reception will immediately follow in the funeral home’s Elmcroft Reception Centre. Interment will be held in Riverview Haven Cemetery, Brooklyn.
