Obituary of Thomas Harold Davis

It is with sadness that we announce the sudden passing of Tom on Friday, October 4, 2024, at home in Currys Corner, at the age of 91. Born in Windsor on November 22, 1932, he was the son of the late Harold Thomas “Buck” Davis.

Tom was a very dedicated and loving husband and father and the best granddad and great-granddad ever. He loved his family dearly.

During his working years Tom worked delivering mail, driving truck and lastly and for the longest time, as a carpenter. In the summers he enjoyed camping and going to beaches throughout the maritimes, on the weekends, with his family. He was an avid sports fan of his beloved Toronto Maple Leafs, Toronto Argonauts and Cleveland Guardians (Indians). He always expected/hope for his teams to win the championships.

Tom will be dearly missed by his son, Terry (Janice) and their children, Peter (Melissa) and their children, Andrew, Emily, Noah and Kaitlin; Nicholas (Megan) and their children, Grace and Jack; Benjamin (Taylor) and their son, Harvey; Jonathan; Jillian and her children, Ayanna, Houston, Armani, Kacen, Ariel and Lucky; daughter, Kathy Garland and her son, Matthew; daughter, Jane Woodward and her children, Jason Woodward (Sarah) and their children, Xander, Paige and Brooke; Sara Woodward (Darren) and their children, Austin, Logan and Abi; Kyle Woodward (Margaret) and their children, Owen and Freya; daughter, Heather (Glenn) Mosher and their children, Jody Mosher (Lisa) and daughters, Madelyn and Macie; Jaclyn Biggs (Evan) and children, Benjamin, Thomas, Anna and Howard; Brett Mosher (Hannah); Rebecca Mosher (Natasha) and sons, Willem and Cole; Travis Mosher; daughter, Chris (Reg) Ivany and their children, Ryan Ivany (Karly) and their son, Cade; Aaron Ivany and his son, Koda; Megan Ivany and her children, Madelyn and Martin; sisters-in-law, Marie and Eunice “Niece” Dill; as well as many nieces, nephews and extended family members.

Besides his father, Tom was predeceased by his wife, Madelyn “Ruth” (Dill); sisters, Elizabeth “Betty” Cameron and Marion Parker; son-in-law, Stephen “Buckeye” Garland and aunt, Alice “Maggie” King.

Arrangements have been entrusted to DeMont Family Funeral Home & Cremation Service, 419 Albert St., Windsor (902-798-8317). A private family burial will take place in Maplewood Cemetery, Windsor. In lieu of flowers, donations in memory of Tom may be made to the Canadian Cancer Society, 5826 South St., Halifax, NS B3H 1S6 or Heart and Stroke Foundation of Nova Scotia, Box 245, Halifax, NS B3J 3R4.
