As the former owner of Victoria Park Guest House I knew dear Leola for many years and loved her for her kindness and her positive attitude and her beautiful smile. I knew some of her family especially Randy and Julie who were among the family members devoted to Leola and obviously loved her dearly. May you rest in peace Leola and remember how much you are loved.

To Julie, Jack, Randy and Uncle Kenny. My thoughts are with you all during this sad time. Aunt Leola has been a very special person in my life, both growing up and as an adult. I really loved my visits with her at the Victoria Park Guest House. Initially it would be with Mom or Dad or my children. My girls would have classes across the street at the community center and drop over. She was like a magician and a treat would appear for the girls to put in their pocket before we left. This generosity always carried over to Christmas when all five of us would get our own separate nicely wrapped gift. They always had specific meaning for each of us. When I visited later in life on my own it was always such a pleasure to see her smile and hear her laugh. She always ended our visit with a kiss and love you.
Love to you all, Barrie, Pam, Olivia, Faith and Emma

We are so sorry for the loss of your Mom & wife. I recall many memories as a child spending time with her and Uncle Kenny, as a young child. Aunt Leola could tell lots of storeys of days gone by, of history and people she has known. She recalled lots of them, if they were asked. She was gentle and kind to our family ,as we went through trials and tribulations of our life. Always good hugs. She came to all our family functions, and give hugs all around.
Much Live Anne & LaVerne

I first remember meeting Leola and Norman in the late 50's or early 60's at Great Uncle Gerald and Aunt Louise's house during a Nova Scotia family visit with my parents, Betty (Harvey) and Fred Gladman. Leola was beautiful and it was a delight to see that she still looked lovely in her mid 80's when I was able to see her again, thanks to her devoted son, Randy, with whom I had a chance to visit with, thanks to my cousin Alan. They very kindly arranged a visit with Leola for me. She looked very happy and well cared for. Although her hearing was impaired, we enjoyed each other's company and I felt very fortunate to have the privilege of seeing again after so many years. Patricia (Gladman) Dore
