I sensed he was someone special the moment we introduced ourselves to one another. And how right I was! Ron was warm, compassionate, caring and loving. He was humble and unpretentious but, as I was to discover, ever so wise. He was funny, sometimes when I'm not sure he was even aware of how absolutely hilarious he was being. He also was one of the most forgiving and accepting persons I've ever known and he taught me much in that regard. To Ron's Family, So sorry to hear of your loss, although we only had contact with your husband/Dad during the infamous tax season, the phone calls and visits to the office were always very pleasurable. My sincere condolences go out to Marilyn, Rhonda, Angela,Terry, Bobby and all their families. Ron was loved by everyone and was such a kind person. When I first came to Berwick, Ron, a then member of the school board, was very kind to me when, after a serious operation and the trauma of moving to Nova Scotia with 2 children, I was struggling to teach, raise a family and be a good teacher. Ron was always supportive both as a board member and as a parent of his three children, all of whom I had in music class and/or band. Ron will be greatly missed by many people.
