I can say with total confidence that I will always remember Wanda Zwicker. Not in brief reflective moments, but as a complete part of the fabric of my growing up and the place I call home. I knew Wanda from the time I was a boy buying candy at the corner store where she worked, and I saw her at least every week of my teenage years. As an adult, whenever she knew I was home, it was only a question of when I'd see her car in the driveway, or pulling onto the shoulder if she passed me walking. Her memory will be everywhere in Hantsport for me. Where she made her mark, she made it permanently.
Wanda had a deep capacity for love, and even though she could worry easily that love eclipsed her worry, which made her a particular kind of brave. I'm sure she taught me the art of a chat. She was endlessly curious about people, completely commited to the ones she called hers, fair-minded and forgiving, and found reasons for gratitude where another person might have been thankless. I am grateful to have known her and I will miss her.

I grew up in Hantsport & eventually moved away. But we came back to spend some quality time with my aging parents, Richard and Doreen Smith. I've always known Wanda for years but never really got close to her until we did move back 5 years ago. We lived on the same street and we were only here a very short time when Wanda showed up and joined us around our backyard fire. We discovered a connection to my mom's birthplace in Three Mile Plains. Well, this resulted in lots of stories being told. From that moment on, it was like we knew each other for 50 years. She always told me she was praying for me and our family. I'm guessing Wanda's prayer list was pretty long. We are going to miss our chats, her waves and her kind spirit so much. Wanda, rest in peace. Brian & Val Smith.

Deepest sympathies to Wanda’s Family at this very difficult time. Wanda was always eager to inquire on how things were going, genuinely concerned. Admired how she was quick to share updates on her kids and especially those grandchildren-they were her most precious gifts and she was proud beyond words. Thinking of her Family who will miss her constant Love and support-She is with you Always..

Dear Jan and Family,
Our family is sending you love as you grieve the loss of your dear mom/grandmother, Wanda. She was a joy in our company, a funny storyteller, a generous giver of her time, and, of course, a knitter of her wonderful dishcloths that are used on a daily basis in our house. Her smile and loving nature will always be remembered and cherished. Wanda will be missed but not forgotten.
Love, Jennifer, Rob, Sarah and Peter

Sending kind thoughts and deepest sympathy to all of Wanda's family. She was a kind, friendly, thoughtful and caring person. She loved her family deeply and spoke proudly of each one. I am grateful that I had a visit with her before Christmas and yes, I left with one of her dishcloth sets. When someone you love becomes a memory, that memory becomes a treasure. Cherish your memories. We hope your memories, as well, as the kind words and memories shared by family and friends bring you comfort at this difficult time.
Sincerely, Debbie (DeWolfe) and Phillip Scott

Looking at the Memory Book for Wanda this morning, I am not surprised to see that so many people have sent their condolences on the passing of this lovely lady. I first remember meeting her when our children attended Windsor Nursery School and we worked together with the teachers to help make that a nurturing environment. My family sometimes attended Mass at the Hantsport Catholic Church, and we were always greeted with a friendly smile and a cheerful chat from Wanda. My family often camped at Grand Pre, and we got to know her wonderful parents, Vic and Jean. What fun we had around the campfire! I often met Wanda when she was visiting her beloved aunt, Bidy Stephens, who is a dear friend of mine. Wanda was a great help to Bidy until her health prevented it. Wanda bore her troubles with a ready smile and will always be remembered for the love and friendship she gave to all who knew her.

So sorry to hear of your mom’s passing. I have fond memories from St Mary’s church - she would always be first to raise her hand to volunteer, support teas and bake sales and lead our catholic studies. Always at the front of the church she had a beautiful voice singing the hymns. Her contributions valued and cherished. Hugs to you all she was a special lady who always made us smile. Sincerely, Theresa

We were so sorry to hear of Wanda’s passing. I remember her visits to Perce and Gladys when we were children, especially in the summer and fall . She would show up in our driveway with smiles and lots of conversation. Whenever we happened to see each other in later years, she was visiting her Windsor relatives and often helping them out when there was a need. Sincere condolences to Robbie, Jan, Neil and families as well as her siblings.

Wanda was a neighbour and friend for many years. We shared happy times, very sad times and tough changes in our lives during these years.
The last several months have been difficult for her medically. She never complained and remained optimistic — no doubt due to her strong faith
Mr. T (what she called Tom) will miss seeing her drive by in the Winter and joining us on the front stoop in better weather.
Condolences to all her family and may she rest in peace.

I remember trick or treating as a child in Hantsport and knocking on the Zwicker's door. This lovely lady answered the door and asked for my name and the name of my little brother. When I said Wanda and Ronnie, her smile got brighter and she told me that her name is also Wanda and that she has a brother named Ronnie. Wanda was not a common name to me as a child, so it was lovely to meet another. During future Halloweens, she always remembered us and I, her.
