I was shocked to hear of Peter's sudden death. May 1982 was my first time attending a Kingdom Hall, thanks to an invitation from Peter. Though he had much to cope with it was always encouraging to see and talk with him at assemblies and conventions. What a wonderful day it will be when we get to see Peter again, happy and healthy. Please remember that Jehovah sees and feels the pain in your hearts today and he longs to bring an end to such grief by means of the resurrection, until then hold tight to Jehovah's hand as he gives you the needed strength to endure Peter's death. Keeping you in my thoughts and prayers Waterville Congregation

Please accept my sincere condolences and allow me to share a wonderful memory of your father and brother. I met Peter shortly after I moved to Hantsport and began walking round the town with a very aggressive little dog I had adopted. I was very leery of touching the dog as she had bitten me rather badly and had attacked a number of visitors who had come to meet my new pet. One day, Peter came out of the house on Willow Street, introduced himself and said "you've got to tell her you love her. Be kind to her so she won't be so scared." Then he bent down and called the dog over. I was frantic as the dog had attacked everyone who reached toward her, but to my amazement she allowed Peter to scratch her ears and immediately rolled over for tummy rubs. I was stunned! I adopted Peter's behavioural approach to working with the dog and it worked! over the years, when we would meet downtown he never failed to ask how the dog and I were doing, and whenever we met when she was with me, she never failed to prance over for tummy or ear rubs. Peter's intuitive understanding of the fear and terror my little rescue dog was experiencing, and his willingness to step forward and speak to a stranger will always be remembered. I am so very sorry for your loss. Yours truly, Dorothy Read

Peter was 3 grades ahead of me at school. We had some good laughs and conversations playing recreational badminton, hanging out, and cheering on our Hawks. He was a great guy! My heart goes out to you, his family for your loss.

My love and thoughts go out to all those who knew and loved Uncle Peter. I will always remember him for the way he tried to make me laugh, supporting me when I was there, and for ALWAYS asking and caring about how I was. That is how I seen him treat everyone. He had such a wonderful sensitive soul. He will be missed.

I am deeply saddened by the loss of my uncle Peter. I missed out on spending as much quality time with him since moving away from the maritimes years ago, but I do remember his taking me aside and mentoring me on how to be a good worker and leaving a good impression with those I work with. The advice he gave me has served me well all of my life. I will miss him and look forward to the resurrection when we will get the opportunity to spend real QUALITY time together.
