Obituary of Helen C. Millard

MILLARD (MacCabe), Helen Catherine - Age 86, of Windsor, Hants Co., passed away peacefully, Monday, September 23, 2013 in Dykeland Lodge, Windsor. Born March 6, 1927, in Hudson, Mass., USA, she was a daughter of the late Harold and Verna (McCulloch) MacCabe. Helen was a mother and homemaker. In her early years she was an employee at Windsor Wear Factory in Windsor.Helen is survived by her son, David (Cheryl) Millard, Isaac’s Harbour North; daughters, Betty Ann Dean, Sydney; Donna Millard, Lower Burlington; seven grandchildren and eight great grandchildren; sister, Erma (William) Macumber, Falmouth; brothers, Cleveland (Carol) MacCabe, Port Colborne, Ont.; and Doug (Hope) MacCabe, Truro. She is predeceased by her husband, Eric Richard Millard; son-in-law, Frank Dean; sister, Georgina Jardine; brothers, Harold "Bud", Floyd, and Clyde MacCabe.Arrangements have been entrusted to DeMont Family Funeral Home & Cremation Service, 419 Albert St., Windsor (902-798-8317), where visitation will be held from 7-9 p.m. on Thursday, September 26. Funeral service will take place 2 p.m. Friday, September 27 in DeMont Family Funeral Home Chapel,  Rev. Debra Mosher officiating. A reception will follow in the funeral home’s Elmcroft Reception Centre. Interment will be held in St. James Anglican Cemetery, Brooklyn. Family flowers only, by request.
