I remember your mother well as she was so warm and helpful to my Mother Ruth MacPherson at the Manning. They made a connection, a bond as my mom was a nurse too and was born a "Porter". When I saw your mother's notice today from the website of the Chronicle, I felt had to send my condolences. Like all nurses( and Porter women) I have encountered , they are strong, powerful and influential in their sphere of influence. I knew that of my mother and from my experiences with your mom , I believe it was the same. They were both knitters too.

I just wanted to pass on my sincere condolences on the passing of your wonderful mother Olive - Mrs. Dodge to me. She was one of the most wonderful ladies that I had the pleasure of knowing growing up. She always had a smile. As I know from personal experience loosing mom two months ago - you just have to take one day at a time. It doesn't matter how old you are when your mom passes away - it is still your mom. Take comfort in knowing that she loved you all and she is together with your dad again. Our moms and dads are always in our hearts.
