Obituary of Norma M. Bennett

BENNETT, Norma Mae - A lifelong resident of Nesbitt Street, Windsor, passed away Saturday, March 24, 2012 at Haliburton Place, Windsor, her home for the past two years. Born May 29, 1929 in Windsor, she was a daughter of the late Calvin and Hilda (Ross) Fraser.Norma is survived by her sons, Dwight (Marylou) Bennett and Wayne Fraser; grandchildren, Matthew and Ben Bennett, Jackie and Scott Fraser; great grandchild, Trenton Fraser; aunt, Sadie Arenburg; sister, Thelma Smith; brother, Arthur Fraser, lifelong friends, Nellie Robertson and Phyllis Card; as well as numerous nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her husband, Darrell (1975) and brother, James.Mum was a homemaker and childcare giver until beginning a 24 year career at Nova Scotia Textiles, from 1970 to 1994.Special thanks to the staff and her family at Haliburton Place for the loving care they gave her, as well as the medical profession involved in her care. Also thank you to DeMont Family Funeral Home and Rev. Bill Gibson.Arrangements have been entrusted to DeMont Family Funeral Homes & Cremation Service, 419 Albert St., Windsor (902-798-8317). There will be no visitation, by request. A public graveside service will be held 2 p.m. Wednesday, March 28 in Maplewood Cemetery, 1186 King St., Windsor, Rev. Bill Gibson officiating.
