So sorry to hear of Graham's passing. We first met Graham working for Dept. of Education in the old Biology building at Acadia during marking days with provincial exams. Graham was the "bell ringer" at break times. His humour and big smile are a lasting memory; we will remember his cheerfulness forever.

To the Thomas family:
I was so sorry to her about Graham's passing. I remember Graham fondly from our work together in the Hants West board and later in the AVRSB. Graham was always a joy to work with - cheery and upbeat and so helpful. He will be missed by all of us who were so fortunate to have worked with him in education. My husband, Ray, also knew Graham from the days at Windsor Regional when Ray worked with staff on the yearbook. My sister-in-law, Sue Burke, former principal at Hants West Rural High School, and who passed away ten years ago, also had a warm spot in her heart for Graham, She spent many a principals' meeting with Graham, always quick to make a joke that would send Graham into rich laughter.
Our deepest condolences,
Sue LeBel-Burke, and Ray Burke

Sally and family,
I was so very shocked and saddened when I received the word of Graham's sudden passing last Thursday. During my days at WRHS I knew Mr. Thomas, during my last 4 years as a member of Windsor Baptist, I got to know Graham! From sitting beside him in the choir loft (stand up/sit down), to serving on committees with him, and attending church functions I got to know the man behind the Mr. His sense of humor and sarcastic wit, his leadership, hospitality, kindness and faith in God are what made Graham the man he is!! He will be forever missed, but he is home with our Lord and Saviour, where we will all get to meet again. My thoughts and prayers are with you all during this time, and may you use your faith to find the strength and courage to move on through the coming days ...

Madame Kasapowitsch, I'm very sorry to hear about the tragedy in your family. All of us in 8K felt like we knew him from all the fun stories you shared with us this year. I really hope you feel better soon. Losing a family member isn't easy, but we all get threw it at some point in some way. We missed you at graduation today, but we all understood you were where you needed to be. Due to not being able to come to school tomorrow, I have a gift for you and you will receive it at some point even if it's next year. We will miss you, and we thank you for being an amazing teacher all year to us! ( I'm sure your father was so proud of you) I will come back and visit you next year, I promise! Anyways, 8K is sending all our love to you and your family. We love you Mme K! <3

Dear Sally and family,
I am very sorry to hear about Graham's passing. I remember my time at Windsor Regional with him. When I finished my B.Ed. many years ago I thought I would try my old high school as a place to start subbing. Graham was kind enough to give me a lot of different sub positions, which allowed me to gain valuable experience in the classroom. Then one day he called me and asked if I would be interested in filling in for a teacher who had to go on leave. I was so grateful for the opportunity and for the fact that my principal believed in me. That was a very challenging but rewarding experience which helped me to find my way in teaching. I thank Graham for that, as well as for all his professionalism, support, and kindness. I really enjoyed working with him. I have always had much respect for him as an educator and as a person and I have admired his dedication to his family. And your Christmas staff gatherings were lovely. Thinking of you at this time.

Sally and family, I cannot begin to tell you how shocked and sorry I am to hear about Graham. My years with him as my principal at Windsor Regional were among the very best of my career. I will always remember him for his command of the English language, his integrity, his sense of humour sometimes tinged with sarcasm, his sense of fairness, and his acceptance of people. He gave me the opportunity for my transfer to WRHS, having faith in my experience. He gave me the English 12 position, recognizing my strengths and qualifications, a move that shaped the rest of my career. I owed him so much for respecting me for who I am. My greatest honour was having him ask me to speak at his retirement dinner. He was a man I greatly respected both in school and out. I know his first love in this world was his family, so I cannot imagine the loss you are feeling. My thoughts and prayers are with you.
