You thought so very hard to try and stay with us for as long as you could...I think your strong because of that; your heart was golden. When I think of my childhood all it is filled with is memories of you, gram, aunt Doris and everyone else of my mothers family. I've seen you over a period of 8 years getting weaker and weaker I think that was the hardest part of all of this was seeing that and knowing that the road may come to an end soon. I'm so THANKFUL to have had such an inspirational-kind heart-ed person in my life like you. Your talent around a sewing machine was fantastic, you even taught my mother to sew and she used those skills with us and her work. Thank you for all the love and support you gave me and my two sisters and for watching us grow into the adults we are today. Rest in peace Aunt Barbara we love you so dearly much

To Barb King's family,
Our sincere condolences to the family. We got to know Barb at the Windsor Elms Village, as she and my Mom, Minnie DeWolfe, were in the same section. We enjoyed chatting with her at the dinner table and I would often pop into her room to see her. She was always friendly and appreciated the visits. My Mom will miss her table mate. Our thoughts and prayers are with you.
Sincerely,
Debbie DeWolfe Scott and Minnie DeWolfe

My thoughts and prayers are with the Darr Family, and all of the extended family that loved Barbara.
She was my Mother-in-law for over 21 years and I have many treasured memories of her along with some beautiful crafts that I will never part with. My sons, Nicholas and Christopher, will remember their "Grammy" from their childhood. As she is now at peace, I like to imagine that she is catching up with her Sisters in heaven, with steady hands, and looking for a needle and thread to start sewing again.
You were loved Barbara and you will be missed.

Sending condolences to Barbs family. I am a CCA at the Windsor Elms and Barb was one of the first residences that I work with. She always told me that I was one of her favorite girls and I was very good at my job. She made me feeling good about my work and every time I worked in her house she made a point of telling me that she really liked me and how good of a CCA I was. I will always remember her and I will miss her very much. RIP Barb you finally got your wings and can now fly high. Love Wanda Macumber :(
