It was with shock and sadness that I learned of Mary's passing. My deepest sympathy for your loss. I have only had the pleasure of knowing Mary for a few years, meeting her through our mutual participation in the "Book Club". I grew to admire Mary thinking of her as the "Energizer Bunny". She was always on the go, volunteering, traveling with Doug, going to horse shows, spending time with family and friends, cooking for a crowd on Holidays. Her bubbling personality and comments always added so much to our book club afternoons and I loved hearing about her "girls" ( daughters and grandaughters ). You were so loved. I am presently travelling in the USA , the last few days of an extended Road Trip and will not be home until next week, so will miss the visitation and the service. I am so sorry for your loss.

I am so sad to hear of Marys passing. We were such close childhood friends, sharing everything including her rooster and pig.We would meet halfway across the dyke before and after school everday as she had over a mile to walk to school.Everyday she came to my mothers house for lunch and we laughed our days away.Twenty one years ago this April Mary and her mother came to my house to say good bye to my mother 2 days before she passed away.Marjorie was my mothers dearest and bestest friend.Mary was the best childhood friend I could ever want. When I was in training to be a nurse and she was at teachers College she wrote me a letter telling me about this wonderful man she met and wanted to marry.Doug would soon be her husband.I will always cherish the memories I have of Mary and our wonderful childhood together.
