I knew Well mostly from our Bingo chats. I knew him as a quiet man, not one to be upset about anything, and if he was he didn't show it. I am so sorry to hear of his passing, he put up one heck of a fight. Chemo and Radiation treatments couldn't have been easy, but when I asked him how he was doing, he'd say no problem. Along with playing Bingo I also write Memorial Poetry, this one is for you Well, Its called My Last Hours.
“My Last Hours”
I look around the room,
My family stands near,
Their heads bowed as if prayer,
I am so medicated its like I don’t care,
My family has been good to me,
Taking the time to come here,
Day and night,
Just to make sure I was all right,
I know how hard that can be,
Coming to my bedside all the time,
Hoping against all odds,
That a miracle will happen,
And my Cancer will go away,
I feel sorry, as they just don’t know,
The pain that I have been through,
The humiliations that plague me,
I am so full of pain- killers that I can hardly talk,
I can’t even go for one last walk,
Dear family and friends please listen to me,
Don’t cry because I am now gone,
Praise the Lord above,
That he is finally granting me mercy from this hell,
And to you all I say a special prayer,
Even though I had to go,
I want you all to know,
Your friendship, loving and caring,
Has meant so much to me,
