Obituary of Edward David Andrews

ANDREWS, Edward David Of Halifax, formerly of Whites Lake, passed away peacefully on August 25, 2016 in Ivany Place, with his son, David and friends with him as he had wished. Born on March 3, 1939 in Halifax, he was a son of the late Charles and Alice (Redmond) Andrews. Edward was predeceased by his wife of 49 years, Pauline (Leblanc); sisters, Margaret, Ruby, Doris and Alice; brother, John. He is survived by his son, David, Barrington; grandsons, Daniel and Mark, Milton; numerous nephews and nieces. Edward formed a special bond with Matthew and Sarah Mcleod who he and Pauline provided child care to and they became like grandchildren. He was a professional driver all his life and enjoyed driving for Metro Transit until his retirement. Edward had the gift to gab and loved talking to people. He was an active member of the parish of St. Paul's Anglican Church, Terence Bay. There will be no visitation at Edward's request. On Tuesday, September 6 a celebration of Edward's life will be held at St. Paul's Anglican Church, 180 Sandy Cove Rd., Terence Bay at 2:00 p.m., with a reception to follow. Following the reception, a private interment will be held at St. Timothy's Cemetery, 896 Prospect Bay Rd., Rev. Cheryl Rafuse officiating. Family flowers only.
