Hi Dena & Family -
Sorry to have missed seeing you yesterday at the service at First Baptist and giving you our sincere condolences in person - we had a family crisis - since resolved - which created a conflict for us to be present.
Your mother was a genteel lady - with a lovely smile - a welcoming hostess - a beautiful soloist with a faith which she displayed with her demeanor and character.
Heaven is now her home and may our loving God bring peace and comfort to your hearts and may your cherished memories never diminish.

Dena,
My deepest sympathy to you and your family. Your mum was such a special friend to my mum and dad, and to all of us. I have so many fond memories of Venna visiting in our home, sharing her love of music, ministry, and a good joke. I can see her smiling from the choir at First Baptist, and hear her beautiful voice. I remember mowing her yard for her one summer on Canterbury. She often came out and watched and we shared many warm chats extending the visit, her little dog at her feet. I can see our mothers continuing their friendship now, always with a twinkle in their eyes.
May you be comforted by many beautiful memories, and the knowledge that your mum was very well loved. Our love and prayers are with you through these difficult days.

Dena, Tom and family,
