Dear Vangie, I just heard about John's passing to Heaven and I know how your heart is hurting. When I think of John I remember his smile, gentleness, love for the Lord and for you, twinkle in his eyes, interest in people and his gardening. I know how much you will miss him but I also know that God is faithful and He will carry you each step of the way ahead......"Until Then"!! Remember the glories of Heaven - a dear friend shared that with me when Jerry went to Heaven. I am and will continue to pray for you. Lean hard on the Lord. Love, Donna Myers. Isaiah 43:1,2 and 41:10,13

Roy & Maida Campbell posted a condolence
Dear Vangie, we just heard of John's passing and extend our deepest sympathy to you and family. Though he was a good age, he will still be sorely missed by you, family and friends. I (Roy) was a second cousin to him and grew up in the same area and went to the same school in Uigg. Though he was a few years older than me . and took a break away from School for a few years, we started Prince of Wales College at the same time (1947). He was a fine fellow in every way --as you of course would know -- and, as indicated will be missed by all who knew him. I was stationed at Cornwallis in the mid - fifties for a few summers and recall visiting John --before he was married and when he was serving several Churches in the Port Royal, Granville Ferry area. And then I spent a summer at the base in 1959 -- and Maida joined me there too for a time and I recall visiting at your home or Parsonage near the base. I believe John was also serving as Chaplain to Cadet personnel on the base at that time. Well, Vangie we must close off and trust that your Faith in God will carry you through this trying time. Our warmest regards to you and family -- Roy and Maida.
