Butch and family,
I was in Asia when I heard the sad news...and was shocked and deeply saddened. I find it hard to accept that Kristie has left us so early. My heartfelt wishes go out to all of her wonderful family. She was a truly beautiful person. .
Being so full of love, zest for life, joy and gratitude, she seemed larger than life. Being able to count her as a friend was special. She will live on in my heart and memory forever.

Kristie, you were an amazing woman who we both looked up to. Your sense of humor and vast knowledge was a real virtue. We so enjoyed our visits with you and Butch where we made wonderful memories to carry on through our lives until we meet again.That trip to Massachusetts, visits to the "Farm". Alyson and I are deeply saddened by the news of Kristie's passing. Since I have been friends with Daynen and Julie, Kristie has been an ever present part of the relationship. I first met Kristie during my time in University and she instantly took on a motherly role and treated me with the greatest warmth and respect. It was instantly clear that both her and Butch brought out the best in people and contributed a calming easiness to what ever situation they found themselves in. I will remember Kristie for her smile, her laugh and her warmth as a uniquely special person and mother. The entire Sheehy family have invited me into their homes, shown me the ways of Nova Scotia country life and the relaxed positivity that comes with it. We send our deepest condolences to you all and know that you will be brought even closer together from this hard time. I would especially like to send my love to my friend Daynen who will be a constant reminder of his mothers spirit and who I know would not be the caring and thoughtful person he is today if it wasn't for his mothers guidance and love.
All the best to the entire family during this difficult time, Kristie you will be missed.

I was very surprised and saddened to hear of Kristie's passing.

We are so very sad to learn of Kristie's untimely passing. Our sincerest condolences to Butch and the rest of the family. Words cannot express how heavy our hearts are. I ran into Kristie a few weeks ago at the grocery store in New Minas. We shared lots of hugs and laughs along with promises to get together. Fly free beautiful. Until we meet again.
