Obituary of Dorothy Jean Lantz

LANTZ, Dorothy Jean Jean passed peacefully, at her home the Windsor Elms, on December 9th, 2016 in her 91st year. Beloved wife of the late Howard Lantz. Mother of Debbie (Ron) of Hantsport, Nova Scotia. Loving grandmother ('Grandma Howie') to Matthew, Kerri, and David Lantz in Ontario, and Zoe, Eric and Keeshaun Such of Hantsport, Nova Scotia. Sister of Betty Guittard, Guelph, Ontario. Predeceased by her husband, Howard, son David and her brother, Reverend Ken Morrison. Special friend to Martha Ciuciura and loving aunt to many nieces and nephews. Born in Stratford, Ontario on May 01, 1925 to Helen and Samuel Morrison and raised by Helen (Nell) with step-father Frank Dent. Jean loved being a homemaker during her working life. She was a talented seamstress, knitter and home-cook. Church served a very important role in Jean's life. She was a member of the Stanley Park Baptist Church in Kitchener, and later in life, the Hantsport Baptist Church. Jean had a long list of people she prayed for every night. Jean also enjoyed the companionship of many dogs over the years. Our special thanks to Jean's second family these past four years at Meadowview 2 Windsor Elms who gave her extraordinary care and compassion until the very end. A memorial service will be held, at a later date, in Kitchener, Ontario with interment at Memory Gardens in Guelph, Ontario.
