Phyllis, David and Families.. always so sad to lose your mum. Your mum was a very caring lady... the eulogy you wrote was wonderful. she was truly so talented in so many ways, more than I was aware of, and I know she passed a lot of these talents on to you and David, as well, the rest of the family... Rest in Peace Norma, you earned it. ......K

Norma was a wonderful member of the Magnolia family. She was a hard worker even at the Magnolia, always wanting to help with dishes, laundry, peeling potatoes and even helping another elder who needed assistance. Norma would tell us of her life working with 36 babies (all those soldiers getting the young girls pregnant) working on her parents farm and then marrying a farmer and running her own farm along side her husband. Norma was alway someone you could count on even in her senior years. I will miss her dearly and alway think of her with a smile in my heart.

A beautiful tribute to a strong and special lady. I had forgotten about Aunt Norma being handy with the 22 and remember a few stories about that. We loved going to visit Aunt Norma and Uncle Neil. Their home was always an active and happy place. The kitchen was the heart of the home true to the Maritime way and we certainly never left with an empty stomach! My sincere condolences. May the strength and care of family and friends comfort you.

We are so thankful for the privilege of being neighbours to Neil and Norma!! What fun we had on the hay fields, swimming in Clyde's pond, at the annual corn boil and sunrise service every Easter!! So many memories of Shelley, Evan and Michelle playing together with our children!! We enjoyed the "old fashioned" ways that they exemplified!! We visited Norma at the Magnolia several months ago and she was as cheery as always, showing us her knitted dishclothes and reminiscing of times past!! Truly a gem and such dear lady!! We are praying for your family that the God of all comfort will minister His peace and love at this time. We love you all!!

I came to know Norma through my time as a volunteer at The Magnolia. A few games of Auction 45's as strangers was all it took for us to realize we should partner up and partner up we did. Norma inspired me through her laughter, her willingness to befreind, and her sturdy and steadfast character. The weekly card parties these past four years have enriched my life. Norma has made an indelible mark on my very being. Privleged to have known this beautiful woman, I am truly sorry for your loss. Go well, my friend. Lenora Steele

To: Phyllis, David and family, So sorry to hear of your Mom's passing. I will always remember the times spent at your home as a kid during our time as neighbors. One memory I have is that your Mom taught me how to ride a bike. It was Phyllis's bike and I would come up every day and your Mom would come out and help me until I could ride it on my own. Some of my best memories are from the times we lived on Collier Rd. Please know our thoughts are with you during this time. RIP Norma
