Obituary of Terri Lynn Dean

DEAN, Terri Lynn On Saturday, February 18th, 2017 after a tremendous battle with brain cancer Terri Lynn has peacefully passed away at Hants Community Hospital at the age of 43. Born on April 4, 1973 she was the daughter of Maurice and Rena 'Diane' Dean (Parker) and cherished stepdaughter of Sylvia Dean (Lepine). Terri will always be in the hearts of her beloved sons, Zackery and Kevin MacGillivray; her two stepchildren, Amanda and Bobby MacGillivray; her sisters, Jacqueline Dean and Wendy Sanford; her brother, Mark Dean; her parents, Maurice and Sylvia Dean, as well as many aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins and friends too numerous to recite. She was predeceased by her mother, Rena 'Diane' Dean (Parker); maternal grandparents, Henry and Edith Parker (Walker), all of Mt. Denison, NS; paternal grandparents, Donald and Francis Dean (Joubert) of Prince Albert, SK; her aunts, Katherine (Toots), Gladys, Fran, Anne, and Sharon, as well as uncles, Ed Dean and Jr. (Henry/Hank) Parker. Terri was a member of the Church of Nazarene. Prior to developing cancer she enjoyed her position as Registry Clerk for the Victoria General Hospital in Halifax, NS as well as the Royal Alexandria Hospital in Edmonton, AB. She was an excellent homemaker and mother and loved doing art and craft projects with her children. Arrangements have been entrusted to DeMont Family Funeral Home & Cremation Service, 419 Albert St., PO Box 981, Windsor, NS B0N 2T0 (902-798-8317). A funeral service will be held at 2 p.m. Monday, February 27, 2017 in The Church of Nazarene, 131 Wentworth, Windsor, NS with Pastor Andrew Barker officiating. A light luncheon will be held at the church after the service. Everyone is welcome to attend. Burial will take place in the spring at Mt. Denison Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, Terri has requested donations be made to The Church of Nazarene or the Canadian Brain Cancer Society.
