Violet & Family,
My heart goes out to you all and my thoughts are with you.Our families grew up in that special little place where community certainly was evident.
I remember Kathy & Darlene dancing on our lawn & singing to the latest 'hit' on the radio. ( I don't think they had the words right though!)
I remember Mum laughing over something Donnie may ~or may not~have done or said perhaps at the card party! He was a cheerful and a good guy. I'm sure you will miss him a great deal.

I mostly remember Donny from when I was a little girl and my dad would take us to visit. He was always a jolly person and made me laugh. Even though I haven't seen him or his lovely wife Violet in a very, very long time I still think of them on occasion and have only happy memories of those visits. My deepest condolences to Auntie Violet, Tommy, Kathy and their families for yet another loss to them in such a short period of time. I have many fond ( and some not so fond, LOL, from his shinanigans, ) of Uncle Donnie over the years that I will cherish for the remainder of my life. One in particular, when I was a very young boy during our harsh winters, I would sit by the road in front of our house and wait for Uncle Donnie to come by with the road grader and plow our road. He would always stop and pick me up and let me steer that big machine to the end of our road and back to our house. I couldn't wait for a storm back then.
Rest In Peace Uncle Donnie, there never was nor will be , anyone like you. You will surely be missed by all who knew you.

I am so saddened by this. He will be missed by many, down to my children who use to run to meet him at the end of the driveway durning his daily trip to check on the fields, they would walk all the way back with him, I could here them laughing longer then I could see them.

I remember Donnie from when I was very little and it's funny how sometimes you don't realize until someone passes away how all of the family connections worked, as least I don't. 71 years is a wonderful blessed accomplishment to be married to someone and I am sure both Donnie and Violet felt blessed to have each other for 71 years and I am sure Violet misses the love of her life very much. Both wonderful people and a wonderful family to be a part of. So sorry for the loss of a wonderful man.
