Obituary of Kenneth L. Porter

PORTER, Kenneth Leroy - 87, of McKay Section, Hants Co., passed away Sunday, May 27, 2012, at home, surrounded by loved ones. Born July 25, 1924 in McKay Section, he was the son of the late Frank and Idela (Veinot) Porter.Kenneth was a dairy farmer for 50 years. He played banjo in an old time music band in his younger years and also enjoyed playing electric organ. He was a member of the Glad Tidings Worship Centre, Chester Rd.Kenneth is survived by sons, Phillip (Glennys) and his son, Scott, Middle Sackville; Edward (Velvet) and his son, Andrew, McKay Section; Brian and his son Mitchell (Jennifer Whitmen), McKay Section; Jeff (Cindy), Garlands Crossing.Arrangements have been entrusted DeMont Family Funeral Homes & Cremation Service, 419 Albert St., PO Box 981, Windsor (902-798-8317). There will be no visitation by request. A private graveside service will be held in Ste. Croix Cemetery, Rev. Stephen Williams officiating.
