Obituary of Jeraldine M. Bonang

BONANG, Jeraldine Madge "Jerry"- 79, of Newport Corner, Hants Co., passed away Monday, December 5, 2011 in the QEII Health Sciences Centre, Halifax. Born on October 8, 1932, she was a daughter of the late Stanley and Lovella (Geddes) Bartlett. Jerry was an avid Bingo player and she enjoyed watching television and doing crossword puzzles.She is survived by her children, Holly (Konrad) Kot, Smithville, Ont.; Stephen (Karen Zinck), Penetanguishene, Ont.; Stanley, Montreal; Lorrie Bonang (Mike Halliday), Hantsport; grandchildren, Trevor, Zachery, Tarmaine, Amber and Codie; great-grandchildren, Alania, Nyiha and Paxton. Jerry was predeceased by her husband, Joseph W. Bonang; sister, Thelma Parkes.Arrangements have been entrusted to Lohnes-DeMont Funeral and Cremation Service, 419 Albert St., Windsor (902-798-8317), where visitation will be held from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Friday, December 9. Funeral service will be held 1:30 p.m. Saturday, December 10 in Lohnes-DeMont Funeral Service Chapel, Rev. Bill Gibson and Intern Michelle Armstrong officiating. Burial will follow in Maplewood Cemetery, Windsor with a reception following in the funeral home's Elmcroft Reception Centre.  In lieu of flowers, donations in memory of Jerry may be made to  the Heart and Stroke Foundation of Nova Scotia, 5657 Spring Garden Rd., Halifax NS B3J 3R4.
