Miss. Thomason was always cheerful, positive, patient and intelligent in how she ran the library and touched those she encountered. I’m sure she will be greatly missed and that the many people she encountered remember the positive impact she made.

I have very fond memories of Diana from my teaching days at Hantsport. She was one of the first people who welcomed me when I started teaching there. She was always so kind and encouraging. She helped me start an aquarium and had lots of great advice about looking after the fish. I will always remember her great smile! Hoping the many memories that you have help you through these difficult days. Thinking about all of you...her pride and joy!

Gerald, Don, Beth and Rachael and family,
So sorry to hear of Diana's passing. From my earliest days in Hantsport, you were our neighbours who lived just across the street. I miss those "small town" days. I will always remember Diana's tireless dedication to the school library. We were all so very fortunate to have had her as our librarian. And yes, we were of the generation that actually had to have a library card and used to look up subject material in real books for class assignments, always with Diana pointing us in the right direction.
Thinking of you with fond memories,
Mark Croft

I am sad to hear of Diana’s passing. I have many fond memories of our times in the nursing residence and of our early years together. I remember her as a down to earth ,kind ,generous, humanitarian soul. It is too bad that our lives get in the way because when I look at my life from this age I realize that we were kindred spirits and I missed a golden opportunity of a “true blue “ friend. I can rest assured that she is now in a beautiful place of peace and tranquility.
My thoughts and my condolences are with those of you who are left without her physical presence . Remember her as the rare treasure who was sent here for all of us who were fortunate enough to have met her and who were influenced by her.C9d4t

I've known Diana since I was in Elementary School at the "old" school in Hantsport, and have vivid memories of visiting she, Gerry and the "kids" when they were all very young in the apartment above her Dad's (Oldershaw's) store on the corner of Main & Prince St. Her youngest sister, Audrey, is one of my lifelong friends.
My sincere condolences to each of you: Audrey, Nancy, Helen, Gerry, Donnie, Beth, Rachael, Haruka and your families. She always had a very special place in my heart, and will continue to do so. Sending warm, loving thoughts to each of you. May she rest in peace and she will always be remembered with fondness.

I was Jean McCully and my mom worked at Oldershaw’s store all the time I was growing up. We rented a house on Willow Sheet from your grandfather and have very fond memories of your family. My dad was sick and unable to work so all the kindness shown to our family was very much appreciated. Your mother as the rest of her family was always extremely kind and thoughtful. I remember your mom marrying your dad and how fondly my mom always spoke of him. She was always so excited when each child arrived to Diana and Gerry. I haven’t lived in the area for fifty years but wanted to share my memories and to express my condolences to your family. I know she will be greatly missed.
