I was very sadden to hear of Hortense's passing. I will miss her very dearly, and the visits from all the family. Our time together was always a joy and never felt like I was there to take care of her. Her smile and jokes always kept us laughing no matter what may have been happening at that moment in time. Thank you for allowing us, the staff of Windsor Elms to become apart of her family and in sharing her final years with us. A light on Meadowview 4 has gone a little dimer today, but will never truly be put out. God bless you at this time. Thinking of you all. Lori Frenette

So sorry to hear about Hortense's passing. I have such fond memories of time spent with her and Grammie and, of course, Sheree. She was always smiling and happy, and I loved going through the slide show and seeing her great sense of style right up to the end. We've been so lucky to have our own 'heroes' right in our family.

Dear Isobel, Linda and Donald, I was so sorry to hear of Hortense's death. I will miss her smiles and kisses she gave me on a daily basis. You were blessed with a special mother and to be able to have her with you for such a long time was a extra bonus. I hope she's enjoying a cup of tea in heaven with Nanny and Alene. It was a privilege to care for your mom these past years.

Memories of Wildred & Hortense are solidly mixed in with all of my childhood memories and to this day I value the time I had with both of them. Share your memories allowing them to live on in the hearts of generations to come. My thoughts and prayers are with you all at this time.

Though we didn't know Hortense personally, we did have the privilege of meeting her last year when we spent time there with a family member. Our most memorable time was when we visited with her and Aleene just before Christmas. She was always quick with a lighthearted comment and we enjoyed her thoroughly. Our condolences to everyone whom she loved and who loved her.

We will be thinking of you today and wish to send our regards to you and your family. What a marvelous life your mother had; imagine the changes she saw from her youth. However, the life of a loved one never seems long enough for those left behind. May you remember the good times.

I worked with this lovely lady at the Windsor Elms. She always had a smile, a hug and a kiss when you went to see her. We shared many laughs and chats. She will be missed by all who knew her. The epitome of kindness. My condolences to the family for the loss of a wonderful woman.

Mom, Marge and I send our deepest sympathy to all the family. Hortense was a very special lady. We enjoyed our many visits with her while she lived in Stanley. Her sense of humour was wonderful. She will be greatly missed.
