Obituary of Henry "George" Lynch
Age 78, of Mount Denson, passed away in Valley Regional Hospital, Kentville on Wednesday, November 7, 2018. Born in Carleton Corner, Annapolis County he was a son of the late George W. Lynch and Elsie M. (Reese) MacDonald.
In 1958 George joined the Royal Canadian Army Service Corps serving in Transportation/Logistics retiring as a Warrant Officer in 1984 at Camp Debert. In his retirement, he went on to work in Real Estate and Car Sales. George was an avid bird watcher and he was a collector of Single Malt Scotches. He was an active Mason for over 30 years having served in several offices for Kentville Lodge No. 58 including Worshipful Master, Welsford Lodge No. 26 and as a Grand Steward for the Grand Lodge of Nova Scotia. He was active in the Ancient and Accepted Scottish Rite - Valley of Halifax, Annapolis Valley Scottish Rite Club and the Order of the Secret Monitor. He was also a member of Royal Canadian Legion, Hants Co. Branch No. 009, Windsor.
He is survived by his daughter, Vicki, Lower Sackville and son, Darren, Three Mile Plains; brothers-in-law, Rodney (Nellie) Hiltz, Bernard (Annie) Hiltz and Malcolm (Lynn) Fife; sister-in-law, Janet (Rick) Dexter; sisters, Helen (Lionel) MacLean and Carol (Bryan) Simpson; numerous nieces and nephews.
Besides his parents, George was predeceased by his wife, Lois Rose (Hiltz) (June 27, 2018); son, Kevin; mother-in-law, Daisy Hiltz; father-in-law, Clayton Hiltz; sister, Barbie Fife; brother, Harold MacDonald.

Arrangements have been entrusted to DeMont Family Funeral Home & Cremation Service, 419 Albert Street, Windsor (902-798-8317), where Kentville Lodge No. 58 will conduct a public Masonic Service on Saturday, November 10 at 2 pm. This will be immediately followed by a public interment in Mount Denson Community Cemetery, Pastor Craig Faulkner will officiate. A reception will follow in the Mount Denson Community Hall.
