Obituary of Edouard Onesime Boyer

Please share a memory of Edouard to include in a keepsake book for family and friends.

Age 75, of Windsor, passed away Tuesday, February 26, 2019, in Dykeland Lodge, Windsor. He was a son of the late Joseph Boyer, Florina (née Villemaire) Boyer and step father, Napoleon Boyer.

An accountant by profession, Ed, Eddie, Da was considered by many a great philosopher, debater and business mind. He played a key role, behind the scenes, in several well-known east coast business success stories. Born in Sudbury Ontario, Ed spent his life residing between Ontario and Nova Scotia. Da taught us so much through the highs and lows in his life. In his later years Ed focused on giving back and volunteered with In from the Cold, Salvation Army Christmas kettles and teaching youth math, helping them achieve their GED. Ed’s ability to have fun and fit in with any group of people was one of his greatest qualities. An incredible dancer, we are sure he is jiving with the angels.

Ed is survived by his daughter, Tammy Oulton and son-in law, Jon Oulton, North Grand Pre. He leaves behind grandchildren, Ayralee, Halifax; Jake, North Grand Pre and Alexandria, Wolfville; sisters, Lucille Daoust, Toronto, Ont; Audrey Mostaway, Lunenburg; Jackie Barron, Blockhouse; Pauline Labelle, Brampton, Ont; brothers, Marcel, Orillia, Ont and Claude, Windsor, Ont.

He was predeceased by brothers, Andre “Andy” and Gaetan Boyer

Da’s farewells always ended with “take it easy”. So, Da, take it easy and we’ll dance together again. L'amour survit à tout. Jusqu'à ce que nous soyons ensemble à nouveau. Thank you to the entire staff at Dykeland Lodge for the exceptional empathy and care he received there.

Arrangements have been entrusted to DeMont Family Funeral Home & Cremation Service, 419 Albert St., Windsor (902-798-8317). A private family service will be held at a later date, when we can gather as a family and celebrate Ed’s life together. Donations in Ed’s memory can be made to Dykeland Lodge, 124 Cottage St., Windsor, NS B0N 2T0. Messages of condolence may be sent to the family by visiting: www.demontfamilyfuneralhome.ca
