I am thinking of you today, Stella & family. I remember Doug from his great involvement with the Lower Onslow Church & our Pastoral Charge. I smile when I think of him checking out my apple peeler which he thought would lessen/quicken the process of making all those apple pies for the Autumn Fundraiser. Doug was a truly gentle man with a wonderfully dry sense of humour. I am glad to have known him.

I was just informed of Doug’ passing and want to express our deepest sympathy. Doug was a special friend and a wonderful person, whom I will miss dearly. I always enjoyed our golf games and trying to keep up with Doug. He could complete 18 holes of golf faster than anyone I know. Stella, you took such good care of Doug, especially in the latter years. Your love and devotion is an inspiration to all. May god bless and take care of you during this difficult time.

Joan & I offer our sympathy & condolences to Stella & Sandy & Kelly, to all family & friends, on the death of a wonderful man, Doug Anthony. It was here in New Waterford that we met & became friends with Doug & Stella. Doug was a tireless worker in our community, serving on several organisations & clubs. Our dearest memories are of our shared memberships in Rotary. Doug served as treasurer & attended all executive & club meetings. He & Stella were enthusiastic participants in all our social gatherings. In particular, I remember the work done by Doug & Stella when we hosted the Assembly & Conference; Stella was chair of the Ladies Program. Doug was a warm & generous gentleman & spending time in his company was always rewarding. We will remember him with affection.

Hi Rae.
We were saddened to learn of Doug's passing. I have fond memories of attending Stanley one room school and the many activities we participated in. I lost touch with him when he moved on to the Windsor Academy for higher education but did manage to bump into him on occasion in later years. Hope that he derived some enjoyment from the carved Cardinals that Stella gave him many years ago
