My sincere sympathy to Leota's family. I first met Leota when we were both taking fiddle lessons with Roger Taylor, and then spent many years together in the Avon Strings group. We had so much fun taking our fiddles all over Hants and Kings counties, and even to the Gaelic College in Cape Breton a couple times. I am also lucky to have wonderful memories of many great gatherings at the house and cottage-times of music, food, and friendship. Leota and Ken both always made me feel welcome in their home, and were so gracious and generous that they would let me try out the latest beautiful violin that Ken had created. Leota's kindness had such an impact on so many, and I'm grateful for all the time I got to spend with her. My deepest condolences to you all.

Dear Linda, Barb, Caroll, Michael & Families-
We are so sorry for your loss and that Leota has passed away.
Our friendship goes back many years when we were both working at P.M.H. & H.C.H. and developed even more while playing together in the Avon String group, U.C.W. and our United Church connection. Many happy hours have been spent at the "Daniels Home" enjoying visits, music, pot luck suppers and picking blueberries. Because we shared the same New Year's Eve wedding anniversary, the year usually ended with a telephone chat. We have so many wonderful memories, not only of Leota, but Ken as well. They were a wonderful couple and we feel fortunate to have known and had them in our lives.
Rest in peace Leota. You will be greatly missed.
With our deepest sympathy, Love & Hugs,
Peter & Karen

To the Daniels family,
We are so sad to learn of Leota's passing away. She was a great lady, smart and always giving.
We enjoyed many dances with Ken and Leota years ago while living in Windsor Forks. I saw her as a mentor to me while we were members of the Windsor Forks Womens Institute. It was always a treat to meet up with her at the hospital and chat while we were volunteering in these past few years. I will miss seeing her...a big loss for our community. Our condolences..........
