Obituary of Garnet Charles Ryan

Age 79, of Falmouth formerly of Ardoise, passed away peacefully Tuesday, March 23, 2021 in Windsor Elms Village. Born on January 22, 1942 in Halifax he was a son of the late Charles and Ivy “Pearl” (MacDonald) Ryan. Garnet enjoyed fishing, hunting, driving his motor bike, race cars and he was a long-time participant in the demolition derbies at Atlantic Speedway. Garnet is survived by his wife, the former Linda Light; sons, Stephen (Sonya) and Garnet “James”; daughters, Donna (Peter) Lawlor and Margaret (Derrick) Waters; grandchildren, Kathy (Mitchell) Patterson, Leslie Arsenault, Natalie (Blake) Penny, Derrick and Krystal Waters; great-grandchildren, Stephon, Dominique, Ashley, Bella, Tyson, Oliver, Harper and William; brothers, Stephen and Christopher (Beth); sister, Shelley Ryan (Paul Sinclair); brother-in-law, Joe Brown. Besides his parents, he was predeceased by his infant daughter, Ann Marie; grandson, Patrick Arsenault; brothers, Larry, Parker and Dale; sister, Bonnie Brown. Arrangements for cremation have been entrusted to DeMont Family Funeral Home & Cremation Service, 419 Albert St., Windsor (902-798-8317). There will be no services by request.
