Obituary of Tina M. Smith

SMITH (Sherman), Tina Marie - 48, of Dartmouth, passed away November 28, 2012, at home surrounded by loved ones. Born in Halifax, she was a daughter of the late Lorne and Mary (Webber) Sherman. Tina enjoyed spending time with family and friends outdoors at big family BBQ's, camping and fishing trips. She liked playing pool, listening to blues and singing along to any music. Tina was a strong, loving and forgiving mother, sister, aunt and friend who through her kind nature made everyone laugh and smile. Tina is survived by her partner, Mark Fraser of Dartmouth and children, daughter, Gina Smith (Mike Sampson) of Windsor and son, Duane Smith (Barbara Brauer) of Windsor. She is also survived by brothers, Dougie (Brenda Zwicker) and Ron (Angela Sherman), both of Windsor; sister, Heather Sherman (Kevin McDonald) of Dartmouth and five nephews and two nieces. The family asks that in lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Canadian Cancer Society. Cremation has taken place and a celebration of Tina's life will take place in Three Mile Plains Community Hall on Saturday, December 8th from 2-4 p.m. Another celebration as well as benefit will take place on Sunday, December 9th at 12 p.m. in Dooley's in Burnside, Dartmouth.
