Obituary of Jeannine Elaine Baxter

Age 46, of Newport Station, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, July 27, 2021 in Hants Community Hospital, Windsor. Born in Windsor on February 13, 1975 she was the daughter of Lorne and Mary (Patterson) Baxter. Jeannine was a lover of all animals, fostering many cats and dogs over the years. She will be missed dearly by her own fur babies. Besides her parents, she is survived by her husband, Josh Shankel; sons, Jonathan and Cody; brothers, Leslie and Philip; sister-in-law, Joanie; nieces, Justine (Rob) and Haley; nephew, Tyson; great-nephew, Devlin; grandmother, Frances Patterson; special aunt, Della; special uncle, Harry; chosen sister, Brigette; several aunts, uncles and cousins. Jeannine was predeceased by her twin brother, Jason, in infancy; paternal grandparents, Harold and Effie Baxter; maternal grandfather, Gordon Patterson. The family would like to thank the VON and the Palliative Care Team. Arrangements have been entrusted to DeMont Family Funeral Home & Cremation Service, 419 Albert St., Windsor (902-798-8317). There will be a private invite only graveside service held in St. George’s Anglican Church Cemetery, Sangster Bridge Rd., Falmouth.
