I have many so many fond childhood memories of Nellie. I remember going to pick dulse at 3 am, low tide, rides on motorbikes with Ted and their 2 dogs along the hampton shoreline and many, walks on beaches. I remember searching for frogs in the frog pond and so many other summer activities. I was deeply saddened to know that she is not here with us any longer. I can imagine though, that she would have a special status among angels where she will abide and watch over us. My deepest empathy for the family. Ox

Nellie blessed me with the nickname Katie-bear when I first met her in 1993. Jodi-Jane and I have been best friends ever since, and she still calls me Katie-bear.

Nellie Jane was my first cousin. Her mother, Marie, was a sister to my father, Duncan Hogan. I barely knew Nellie .... I am 5 years younger and grew up in Wilmot, NS .... so we didn't see much of each other growing up.

Nellie Jane was one of my first cousins. Her mom Marie and my mom Vivian (both nee Hogan) were sisters. I only got to see Nellie Jane during our short two week vacation when mom and dad would drive us to Nova Scotia to visit family. As we aged we became closer sharing time at my home on Ontario or at her homestead in Hampton. Every day we played scrabble and chatted on line. I will miss her so much.

So saddened to hear of Nellie's passing. She and I have been friends since we were small children growing up in Hampton.
