Sincere sympathy to Allena’s family .I met Allena at Dykeland lodge when my Dad was a resident there.She introduced herself to us and told us that we were related.Her Dad and my Dad were cousin’s.Allena always stopped to chat with us so friendly .We shared information about the Boyd family.Please know you are in my thoughts and prayers during this sad time.

So sad to hear of Aleena’s passing. We both grew up in Fairview.We were sister in laws both married to brothers Lapierre and divorced from them both.Hadn’ t kept in contact with Aleena over the years - lost contact with her. Anyway from what I read in her obituary she seemed to be very happy.Take care !

Ray, on behalf of Tammy and myself, I want to extend our heart felt condolences on Allena's passing. I met her in 1995 when we began work together at Orion Electronics. Early on, she earned the nick name of "Mama" because people gravitated to her for her kindness and wisdom. Although we weren't much younger than her, we saw her as our mother figure. Apart from her kindness she was funny, and spirited. Also, don't get in her way if there was an injustice that needed to be corrected. If you don't mind...I would like to relay one funny story. One morning, she decided to reheat a hard-boiled egg and eat it at her desk while she worked - (BTW this was strictly forbidden). She must have over heated it..because when she touched the fork to it, it exploded in a large cracking sound. She screamed, and I came running because I thought a component had exploded. When I got there she was surrounded by yolk and shell fragments. There was egg everywhere...even on my desk which was at least 10 ft away. We were finding egg for weeks afterwards. Miss you Mama...you were one of a kind.

Allena was one of my best friends. We met when I was only 19 and she was the sweetest kindest person. She thought me so much over the years. we were 10 years in age difference, but age meant nothing. We always did road trip together to visit her family. Hung at beach. Then we did a Trip to George st festival in Nfld. With our husband Raymond And Raymond we shared so many great time.
Allena and Raymond were the sweetest couple I love you both so much.
Our hearts are broken for Raymond and his family.

I'm very saddened to hear of the passing of Allena! I worked with her for many years at Orion Electronics. We always got along very well, and I've missed her ever since. Everyone affectionately called her "Mamma" (not sure how that started). Although I haven't seen her in years, the memory of her is fresh in my mind. She always called me Michael.:) My heart goes out to Ray and her family. I'm sorry for your loss. She was a very good person!
