Obituary of Anita M. Sabean

It is with heavy hearts and great sadness that we announce the passing of Anita Marie Sabean, age 85, of St. Croix, formerly of Windsor, surrounded by her loving family. Anita passed away on Saturday, July 2, 2022, in Hants Community Hospital, Windsor. Born in Harbour Main, NL, she was a daughter of the late John “Jack” and Margaret (Hewitt) Hurley.

Anita is survived by her loving daughters, Linda (John) Brownless and Brenda (Glenn) Williams; cherished grandchildren, Jenna Williams (Mitchell Myles), Nicole (Adrian) Parker, Tyler Brownless (Taylor Davis) and Connor Brownless; great-grandchildren, Keaton and Reese Parker, Blake and Landon Myles and Evelynn and Isla Brownless.

Besides her parents, she was predeceased by her loving husband of 59 years, Doug (2019) and sisters, Sheila Hurley, Joyce Lee and Marcia Furlong.

Arrangements have been entrusted to DeMont Family Funeral Home & Cremation Service, 419 Albert St., Windsor (902-798-8317). There will be no visitation or funeral service by request. Interment will take place at a later date at Oak Hill Cemetery, Ellershouse. Donations in Anita’s memory may be made to New Boundaries, P.O. Box 1075, Windsor, NS B0N 2T0.
