I have known the Parsons since I was a little girl; Dave and Betty being great friends of Mom and Dad`s. It wasn`t long before I realized what great people they were. I truly appreciated their great sense of humor and their love of music. Dave always was interested in how you were doing and what you were doing. I will miss those greatly admired qualities of Dave. My memories of the Parsons will always be treasured. My prayers and thoughts are with you.

My condolences for your loss. Dave was an inspiration to me as well as many others who were touched by his kindness, thoughtfulness, sense of humour and love of life. I worked for two summers as caretaker of Rivrbank Cemetery (2010-11)and that's where I met Dave. He would visit the cemetery every day. At first he would drive himself, later he had someone drive him. He would always have complimentary words for me and would even bring me an ice cream, or frozen treat, on the hot summer days. I am proud to have met Dave and learned that no matter how old you are you can still have a positive (and sometimes profound) effect on the people around you. Rest in peace, Mr. Parsons.
Natalie Dominaux posted a condolence
In June of 2010, your father and my father were roommates at Hants Regional Hospital in Windsor. Your father was a very special man. Very kind, always happy and delighted every time I came to visit my father. I made him very happy one day when I brought lobster for my Dad, but there was extra for him too. My family is very sorry for your loss. May he rest in peace. The Dominaux Family

John, Jim and Peter I got to know your Dad in 1983 when he hired me at Minas Basin. His steady, kind and ethical character were only some of the wonderful traits one would immediately see upon meeting him. He was a great leader, mentor and most of all a great person. A rare quality in today's business world. I can only imagine how wonderful a father he was. I can honestly say that he shaped my career and gave a young engineer a chance in life and I will never forget that. We will all miss Dave Parsons. Our sympathy, Scott and Debbie Travers

Please pass along my deepest sympathy to your family on the recent passing of your father, Dave. I have known Dave for many years having worked with him at Minas Basin. In fact, he invited me along for my first and only helicopter ride. I had been overseeing the financial work at the tidal project in St. Margaret's Bay and Dave knew this and took it upon himself to invite me to see the project from the air. I will always remember that experience and it is a testament to his kindness and generosity.
