Obituary of Grace Kathleen Oickle
Age 64, of Greenhill, Hants Co. It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of our beautiful anchor, wife, mother, aunt, sister, niece, cousin and friend.
Grace passed Sunday, January 1, 2023 in Hants Community Hospital surrounded by loved ones after an incredible battle with cancer and COPD.
Grace is survived by her ever-loving husband, John; her bonus daughter, Shannon (Lanny); her daughters, Debbie (Colton), Andrea (Gary), and Kate (Trevor); her shining stars of grandchildren which include, Adena, Logan, Lucian, Payton, Paisley, Grayson, Mason, Liam, Mitchell, Laine, Alex, Jacob and great-grandson, Daxton; her aunt, Ethel; brothers, Kenny and Garnet; sisters, Mabel and Rosemary and her best friend, Nancy; as well as her many nieces, nephews and cousins.
Grace was an active member of the Nova Scotia Muzzle Loading Association and will be deeply missed by the family they created with their fellow members.
Grace will be missed by all those that she let into her heart and home. She was the mom many people turned to at different seasons of their lives and if you were ever lucky enough to feel or know Grace’s love and generosity, you felt like you had a home that would always just be there for you.
Arrangements for cremation have been entrusted to DeMont Family Funeral Home & Cremation Service, 419 Albert St., Windsor (902-798-8317), where a funeral service will be held at 1:00 p.m., Friday, January 6 (masks are encouraged), Rev. Garnet Parker officiating. A reception will follow in the funeral home’s Elmcroft Reception Centre.
